Vad är din roll/titel på Mackmyra?
Being the most French person in the company and also working with export. I mainly work with the French speaking countries like France and Belgium (but also in the Netherlands where they obviously don’t speak French). Because, yes, French people love whisky but they can’t speak english or Swedish so that’s where I intervene.
Hur länge har du jobbat på Mackmyra?
1 year and half (including 6 months as an intern) but it feels like a life time!
Hur ser en typiskt arbetsdag ut för dig?
Depending on the day, at the office just showing up late in a very French style and dealing with orders, being in contact with our importers and planning my trips among other things. On very lucky days I will got the chance to try a sample of a new product.
Otherwise I am travelling one/two weeks a month abroad either for sales tours where I meet with shops’ owners and do Masterclasses and tasting or being part of Whisky Shows. Meeting a lot of whisky lovers in general and talking with them about what Mackmyra stands for!

I just genuinally believe working for Mackmyra is generally a lot of fun. I sometimes don’t know if I am working or just having a blast…
I find it really funny that whenever I go up to work at the distillery, it’s always some french people showing up totally randomly, like if they knew it was a french speaking person available for tours on that specific day.
The Mackmyra days 2016 were great too, my colleague Alex taught how to do cocktails and I had a blast. Now I am totally nailing the Mack sour! (Mack by Mackmyra with lemon juice, sugar syrup, egg white some ice and shake it up, don’t forget a dash of angoustura at the end)
Om du fick välja att byta roll med någon annan på Mackmyra för en dag, vem skulle det vara och varför?
I just love my job so much so I am ok with sticking with it but maybe I would love to take Angela’s spot for one day (Master Blender). Sneaking in her spirit cupboard and just try a lot of amazing whiskies we have been producing or we are producing and also try to create a perfect whisky. And of course distilling for one day just to have my hands on the stuff and exercise a bit by only taking the stairs up and down in the 35 meters high distillery.
Vilken är din absoluta Mackmyra-favorit?
Svensk Rök is a strong contender… I also love Vinterrök and Moment Fenix (do I have to say just one!?). I have also tried some really nice Reserve (especially the ones with the beer casks finish). I just think Angela and all the people working with producing the whisky are doing a tremendous work. Which is just making my job so easy, people just have to try our whisky to be convinced that Mackmyra is an amazing whisky.
